PISA, Health Integration Platform, is a functional and technological solution for creating a platform to manage the relationship with patients based largely on the flexibility of its components and the development of customized processes, cover the wide range of possibilities offered by different pathologies. PISA stems from an initiative of the R & D Avanza Plan that forms the consortium of Ándago, Junta de Extremadura, Biomedical Technologies, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and
Ártica Telemedicina .
The functional scope is intended to relate new technologies with the monitoring of patients with chronic diseases. Advanced biomedical devices will be used for taking measurements and new communication technologies to transmit the necessary information to both medical centers and the patients themselves. The idea is to speed up the patient-medical services information flow to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations.
The main result is the creation of a platform of interoperability between hospital information systems and the various services used to monitor patients implemented with different technologies.
